Pic. 26: Richard Hayford Boateng, the then Regional Head of The Upper East Regional Museum, Bolgatanga, undertaking restoration work on Koma terracotta figurines recovered during the 2008 Dept. of Archaeology and Heritage Studies’ field school at Yikpabongo in the Northern Region, Ghana. The exercise was part of the annual practical training package for Senior Undergraduate and Graduate Students in Archaeological Field Methods and Techniques. And, as part of the partnership between the dept. and GMMB, Mr. Boateng was responsible for monitoring on-site conservation of artifacts and features.
